The Setting
Amathus Beach Hotel Limassol sits directly on the beach on the Amathus coast, with subtropical gardens, palm-lined lawns and a stone pier that reaches out over the Mediterranean. Its wedding team plans the day end to end, from the ceremony set-up to the last course of the gala dinner, with packages tailored around each couple.
Ceremonies are held outdoors on the lawns and gardens or on the pier area, both looking straight out to sea, with a marquee for the couple and white-dressed chairs included in the hire. Indoors, the Ares Room and the Athenaeum Rooms give a private alternative with a Mediterranean view, whatever the weather does.
Receptions scale from a cocktail on the Blue-breeze Terrace or the pier to a full celebration on the central lawns and gardens. Dinner can be an intimate table for two at the Lighthouse Bar or Limanaki Fish Restaurant, a sea-view dinner in the Thalassa Restaurant, or a gala for 400 in the combined Demetra and Ares ballrooms.
The kitchen writes the menus in-house — canapé selections, plated dinner creations and two gala buffet menus — and the hotel also arranges decorations, wedding cakes, and contacts for the Amathounta, Yermasoyia and Agios Athanasios municipalities as well as church and Armenian ceremonies. Guests stay on site, and the couple's own added-value features include a candlelit gala dinner for two.
